While you're speaking to the case client you realise that you should check something with their doctor. You're about to jot this on a scrap of paper but it's essential that you remember to do this. Can Case Manager help?
At the case's Tasks tab create a new task, with a title of Follow up contact.
Enter a suitable due date and possibly a reminder date.
Select the treating doctor from the Contact dropdown list and add a few notes in the Details field.
When you have spoken to the doctor mark this task as complete.
You need to schedule case reviews with a team member each Monday morning. Can Case Manager help you remember?
Create a new task title, Schedule case reviews.
At your list of Tasks create a task that is not linked to any particular case and give it this title. Set it to:
- start on the next Monday morning at 9AM
- be due the same day at 2:30PM
- be recurrent, with a recurrence pattern of weekly, every Monday
- have a reminder at 1:00PM
If you do not mark this task as complete by 1 every Monday afternoon, the Reminders window will let you know.
The Reminders window pops up. You cannot attend to it at the moment but you're pretty sure that the task listed has been completed.
You click Dismiss. Has the task been marked as complete?
No, but the Reminders window will not tell you about this task again, including if you forget to complete it.
You could click Snooze and ask to be reminded later if you do not complete the task.
