Apple apps: new security requirements
This page applies if you use the Apple app and your system is not hosted by Chameleon Software.
Chameleon Software have upgraded the mobile app to support Apple’s latest iOS Guideline for iOS 11 in 2018.
This means that the SSL certificate on your server must have TLS 1.2 level encryption in order for Apple apps to connect to your server.
You should discuss this with your server's system administrator.
Apple guidelines
- All apps must now be compiled against iOS 11 to support 64 bit devices
- Apps now require a secure connection when connecting to a server that uses TLS 1.2.
The impact for you
If the SSL certificate used for your server is using a lower TLS version than that required, it will need to be replaced with one that uses TLS 1.2.
Your connection will fail if the certificate is not valid.
