Journal entries

In accounting, a journal entry is an entry to the journal, i.e. to the record of chronologically-ordered accounting transactions.

When you create a journal entry in Case Manager, in effect you take a snapshot of specified transactions that also 'locks' them so they can't be changed. This is especially important when the transactions have been included in tax reporting or integrated with systems outside Case Manager.
