Calendar and Scheduler

Case Manager 8.0 adds two calendar views to the web client: My Calendar and the Scheduler. Both are opened from the Calendar menu. They show the same appointments, and you book appointments in both with the same wizard.

Before 8.0, the web client had no calendar view. You could list and edit a case's appointments on its Appointments tab, and that tab still works. The Windows client has a Calendar tab on each case. An appointment is the same record wherever it's created, so appointments made in any of these places appear in all of them.

Who the features are for

  • My Calendar is for practitioners and consultants. It shows only your own appointments and needs no extra permissions. See My Calendar.
  • The Scheduler is for practice managers, office managers and reception staff. It shows the appointments of every employee and room you choose, on one screen. See Scheduler.
  • Administrators set up appointment types, rooms, permissions, employee availability and Outlook sync before staff start booking. See Setting up the Calendar and Scheduler.

The Scheduler is included at no extra cost, but it must be switched on for your organisation. To enable it, contact the Customer Success Team at support@casemanager.biz.
