Replies to SMS text messages

If the recipient replies to your SMS message the reply will return to Case Manager and join the list of documents.

It is identified with RE: at the beginning of its name and a unique document type icon. The details screen will display the original text as well as the response:

If you had selected the email notification option when you sent the original SMS, you will also receive an email letting you know that the reply arrived.

Phone numbers

Note that SMS messages from Case Manager are sent via a randomly-selected mobile phone number.

Thus, recipients of such messages should ignore the actual number involved when they reply.

Replies in Case Manager

Note that you cannot reply to an SMS reply in Case Manager.

Instead, simply create a new SMS message with the reply copied in.
