Tasks and reminders

The screenshots on this page do not all reflect the new web version yet.

A task describes a unit of work that should be completed within a specified period of time. It is usually tied to a particular case and has a title, and usually a start date+time and a due date+time.

Tasks can be a recurrent and they can also have reminders. See Tasks overview for details.

Case tasks can be created by a user or generated by workflows.

Tasks grid

Each case has a Tasks Tab where you can create, view and complete tasks that are linked to the case.

The list of case tasks displays:

  • current tasks in black
  • overdue tasks in red
  • completed tasks in grey

Note that tasks and reminders for this case are managed here. You can manage your tasks across all cases at your list of Tasks.

The list of case tasks is a grid, so it can be ordered, grouped and filtered as you do in other grids in the system. Similarly, you can select the columns you want displayed in the list. See List tools for details.

There are many columns headings that you can select in order to display information about the tasks, see Tasks list for a list of these.

You can also print this list of tasks and export it to an Excel spreadsheet.

Tasks have two sub-tabs:

  1. In the Task details tab you can view and update details such as the status, %completed and priority.
  2. In the Completion tab you log when a task is completed, see Manage tasks.
