Save a simple view
You can save the settings at the grid and Case List criteria as a collection, so that you can quickly change the way you are looking at the list by applying the saved collection. We are going to design a view to show case status.
Exercise 5
- Click the Case List Criteria button

.
- Click the Save tab.
- Click New on the right hand side.
This creates a new saved grid view with a generic title.
- Enter Status report for the name of this view in the Description box at the top.
- Click Save Now.
- Click the Columns tab
- Locate Case Info as in step 3 of exercise 3 above and select Case Status.
- Click >>.
- Locate Documentation and select Date of last document.
- Click >>.
- Return to the Save tab and click Save Now to save the last changes into the saved view, then click Save at the bottom of the window.
Now that you have saved the view you can return to it later.
To load a different stored view, select the view's name and click Load. This will apply the saved view to the Case List grid.
Optional task
Create your own list view, save it as above, then practice flicking between the two views.
You will notice that it is much easier to use saved views rather than changing the settings every time you want a different view of the Case List.
