Quality management
We have already seen the list of Tasks, when we learned about managing your tasks across all cases. This list can also show the tasks of more than one user, which makes it a useful tool for managers.
Like any other grid, the information displayed in the Tasks grid can be sorted, filtered and displayed in many ways. This allows managers to analyse business performance from multiple perspectives and to create snapshots of the current situation, such as today's overdue tasks.
We have also learned that this information can also be exported to an Excel file.
We have seen that workflows generate structured sequences of tasks. Workflow-generated tasks are also displayed at this list and you can add a column to identify them.
If mandatory workflow tasks were not completed on time a reason for the delay must be added. Whether the task was actually finished can also be recorded. This information enables performance issues to be identified and addressed at the list and provides a powerful tool to monitor how well staff are performing and hence, to manage business quality control and compliance.
Below we see a list of Tasks for all employees.
- It has been filtered to display tasks which were completed late
- It is sorted by whether the task is a workflow-generated task
- A column has been added with the reason for late completion.
You will find more detailed information in the rest of this site, starting at Task performance.
