Lab - Reminders window

The reminder pop up window appears. How should you manage it?

In this lab exercise you need to see the Reminders window but you don't want to sit around all day waiting for a reminder window to pop up so that you can test it. Modify the reminder date and time for the Follow up contact task from the previous lab (Exercise 1) so that it's 3 minutes in the future.

Exercise 1

  1. Select your training case in the Case List.
  2. Click the Tasks tab.
  3. Select the first task that you recently created.
  4. Reset the reminder time to 3 minutes from the current date and time.
  5. Click Save.

In 3 minutes time a reminder pop up window will appear. A reminder only appears in the window once the reminder time has passed.

Note that closing the reminders window does not change the status of any of the reminders. When you next log into Case Manager, these reminders will appear again.

Exercise 2

  1. Select View >Reminders Window from the main menu. This will re-open the reminders window.
  2. Select the task and click Mark Complete. The window will disappear.
  3. Review the task in your case's Tasks Tab. The Mark Complete box is now checked and the date has been entered. The reminder has also been unchecked and the date cleared.
  4. Select View >Reminders Window again to re-open the reminders window and confirm that there are no active reminders any more.

So now you can add and manage tasks at a case level and handle the Reminders window. The next step is to manage tasks for all of the cases you are involved with.
